It was a sunny but windy day at the HIBS number 1, the outfield looked lush and the pitch looked green and slow. Although this was apparent, HIBS chose to bat. Kennedy and Gray walked out to the crease with one goal in mind, to crush St Pats and send them back to town.
HIBS were 20/0, when our star bowler Gerrard Green decided to show up (Thanks for the lollies bro). HIBS lost their first wicket at 68 when Gray played a tentative shot, he was caught behind for 19. This brought the man, the myth, the legend, Harrison Watt to the crease. Kennedy and Watt put on a partnership of 55 before Kennedy was bowled for 69.
Green was next in, he powered his way to 37 off 27. A surprise innings from Watto, who punished any thing short, making 21 off 28 deliveries. Webster and Wilson finished off the innings in style with Webster getting 54 and Wilson getting 24. After a long innings break the formidable HIBS bowling attack opened with Ferrier and Bamber. They bowled well claiming 3 wickets for just 15 runs off the first 12 overs. Patel and Fleming bowled next with Patel picking up 3 wickets.
Green put the icing on he cake, claiming a caught and bowled off the last ball of the match. HIBS winning by massive 179 runs with key contributors being: Kennedy, Webster, Ferrier, Green and Patel.
A well played match from the Lads!!!
