The hibs 1st XI has got off to a great start in the gillette cup. As the boys put in a great effort and rolled stream for a rather niggly total on a niggly wicket for 30 runs. Tyler Simpson had some chat nurries and rolled the top order. With figures of 4 for 10 off 6 overs. Nathan Watt backed him up with a good economy of 1.2 runs per over. Then the so called ‘left arm inswinger’ Matthew Mccomb came on to bowl with the nz rep Rachin Ravindra. The two left armers came in and cleaned up the tail with some chat fielding from Joe Foote left stream speechless as his immaculate fielding caused many troubles.

The boys then went into bat with Logan Slee not lasting long but JainukPatel held it together as he lost wickets around him with a solid effort of 0 runs not out. Captain fantastic then knocked the ball down the ground and for a well deserved win. The boys play saint pats town tomorrow in a must win game.
